The withdrawal is typically the final result of tissue that was poorly prepared to handle repeated high-speed rotation. Without proper dynamic preparation, the body eventually refuses to perform. We see this play out constantly on professional tours when players leave the course mid-round. For the recreational player, this lack of preparation often ruins an otherwise enjoyable Saturday morning.

We must adapt these routines to real playing conditions. If you face a long delay before teeing off, do not repeat the entire sequence. Perform a brief maintenance routine of gentle leg swings and easy practice swings to keep your body engaged. A long delay creates a unique problem where the golfer warms up and then becomes inactive again. The goal of this brief reset is to restore coordination without creating fatigue before the round.
Golfers who feel stiff after driving to the course should prioritize walking and dynamic mobility before hitting balls. Do not begin with full-speed swings immediately after a long drive. Start with walking or marching, then move into ankle and hip movements, followed by trunk rotations. If your hips or back feel stiff, spend longer in the early phases and shorten the later practice swing section. You should never force your range of motion.
Preparing your body correctly means that you can handle the physical demands of the game round after round. Touching your toes on the first tee box is no longer the standard for golf preparation.
