Athletes who correctly understood circadian rhythm gave sleep duration an average importance rating of 4.40 out of five. Athletes without that understanding gave it an average rating of 4.13. This same pattern appeared when athletes rated the importance of sleep timing. The biologically aware group gave sleep timing an average rating of 4.18, while the group lacking circadian knowledge gave it a lower average rating of 4.03.
Addressing your biological timing starts with a few accessible adjustments before you ever reach the course. First, you should track your own natural energy windows and match your tee times to them when possible. If you always feel stiff and mentally foggy before nine in the morning, stop forcing early rounds.
