Industry research shows how powered equipment alters the physical experience. Motocaddy reported on a Sporting Insights survey of more than 2,700 golfers in the United States and Canada. According to the report, 84% of golfers who switched to an electric caddy identified walking without carrying their clubs as the biggest benefit. The same report noted that 76% of surveyed American golfers who switched felt fitter.

Also, 59% said they had more energy on the course, and 55% said golf was more enjoyable. Electric options are becoming widely available at local courses. Motocaddy noted that more than 1,000 clubs and resorts worldwide had adopted its rental fleets. Woodmont Country Club alone placed an order for 60 M7 GPS Remote electric trolleys.

Golf Business Technology reported the manufacturer specifications for the 2025 Birdie 3X model. This unit includes a 220 watt-hour battery rated for up to 36 holes. It also offers auto-follow technology and operation on gradients up to 25%. These advancements show how the industry is addressing course fatigue directly.

Building Foundational Habits

Managing this physical demand requires a targeted daily routine and smart equipment choices. A few years ago, I noticed my swing falling apart around the 14th hole. My lower back would tighten up, and I started compensating with my arms. I spent months thinking it was a swing flaw.

It was not until I started a simple evening hip mobility routine that I realized my glutes were just turning off from fatigue.
